Screen Uniformity Test
Uniformity problems often hide in normal content until you know what to look for. Large gray fields make uneven brightness, color tint, and dirty-screen effect easier to see.
Start at 50% gray
A 50% gray field is a useful middle point for seeing broad patches, vertical bands, and center-to-edge differences without the extremes of pure black or white.
Check 25% and 75%
Darker gray can reveal shadow unevenness, while brighter gray can reveal tint shifts and clouding that may not be obvious at 50%.
Judge by use case
A small tint shift may be acceptable for office work but annoying for photo editing, design, or watching sports with large flat backgrounds.
